Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
For the financial year ending 31 March 2026
1. Introduction
This statement sets out the steps that Armina Group ("Armina", "we", "us", "our") has taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or our supply chains.
Armina Group is a UK-based property and construction services company specialising in property management, building services, construction projects, and consultancy. We are committed to operating with integrity, transparency and respect for human rights in all aspects of our business.
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our Group's modern slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 March 2026.
2. Our Business and Supply Chains
Our Business
Armina Group operates in the UK property and construction sector, providing:
- Property management services
- Construction and building services
- Consultancy and project management
We directly employ staff across our corporate, project delivery and site-based roles. Our workforce is predominantly UK-based, and all employees are engaged under contracts of employment that comply with UK employment law, including the National Minimum Wage and Working Time Regulations.
Our Supply Chains
Our supply chain includes the procurement of:
- Construction materials, plant and equipment
- Subcontracted labour and specialist trades
- Professional services (legal, accounting, surveying, IT)
- Operational services (cleaning, security, maintenance, utilities)
We recognise that the construction and property sectors carry inherent risks of modern slavery, particularly in relation to subcontracted labour, temporary workers and supply chains involving imported materials. We are committed to understanding and addressing these risks.
3. Our Policies and Commitment
Armina Group has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and all forms of exploitation. We are committed to:
- Acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings
- Ensuring transparency in our approach to tackling modern slavery
- Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
- Expecting the same high standards from all contractors, suppliers and business partners
Relevant Policies
We maintain the following policies to support our commitment:
- Modern Slavery Policy – sets out our zero-tolerance stance and expectations
- Whistleblowing Policy – provides a confidential route for reporting concerns, including modern slavery
- Supplier Code of Conduct – outlines the standards we expect from our supply chain partners
- Recruitment and Employment Policy – ensures fair and lawful employment practices
- Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy – supports ethical business conduct
4. Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
Identifying Risk
We have assessed our operations and supply chains to identify areas where there is a risk of modern slavery. Our assessment has identified the following as higher-risk areas:
- Subcontracted labour on construction sites (particularly agencies supplying temporary or casual workers)
- Supply chains for construction materials sourced from high-risk jurisdictions
- Lower-tier suppliers and sub-contractors where visibility is reduced
Due Diligence Processes
To mitigate these risks, we have implemented the following measures:
- Supplier Vetting: We conduct due diligence on new suppliers and subcontractors, including checks on their compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
- Contractual Terms: Our standard contracts include clauses requiring suppliers and subcontractors to comply with all applicable anti-slavery and human trafficking laws.
- Right to Audit: We reserve the right to audit suppliers and subcontractors to verify compliance with our standards.
- Labour Provider Checks: Where we engage labour providers or recruitment agencies, we verify their compliance with UK employment law and GLAA standards where applicable.
5. Training and Awareness
We believe that raising awareness is critical to identifying and preventing modern slavery. We provide:
- Staff Training: Relevant employees, particularly those in procurement, HR, project management and site management roles, receive training on modern slavery risks, red flags and reporting procedures.
- Induction Materials: New employees are made aware of our Modern Slavery Policy and their responsibility to report concerns.
- Supplier Engagement: We communicate our expectations to suppliers and subcontractors and encourage them to implement similar measures within their own supply chains.
6. Measuring Effectiveness
We monitor the effectiveness of our actions to combat modern slavery through:
- Tracking the number of staff who have completed modern slavery training
- Recording and reviewing any reports or concerns raised through our whistleblowing channels
- Reviewing supplier compliance during contract management processes
- Conducting periodic risk assessments of our supply chains
During this reporting period, we are not aware of any instances of modern slavery or human trafficking within our business or supply chains.
7. Remediation and Reporting
If we become aware of any instance of modern slavery within our business or supply chain, we will:
- Immediately investigate the matter
- Take appropriate remedial action, which may include terminating relationships with non-compliant suppliers
- Report the matter to the relevant authorities where required by law
- Support any victims in accordance with our duty of care
